Work out your 'Wheel of Life'London life coach Penny Freeston helps readers lead their best life. Is there something missing from your life but you can't put your finger on it? Or perhaps there are things you are tolerating that drain your energy and spirits? In that case, it's time to do the "Wheel of Life" exercise! New clients and I often undertake this fun exercise together to identify areas for personal growth. Take a sheet of blank paper and draw a circle. Divide it into eight segments with the following headings: work, health, wealth, hobbies, partner, relationships (family and friends), environment, spirituality. Consider each area in turn and give it a mark out of 10 (10 equals total satisfaction). You will soon see where you want to start improving things. Now, on the outside of the circle write down what factors would make this section score 10 out of 10. You will be amazed at how enlightening this is! I would love to have some feedback from readers to see how you managed and share your views. Don't be down hearted if your scores are low - the only way is up! When people spend time on themselves in this way they can identify changes they would like to make and take positive steps towards them. Coaching is holistic and aims to enhance all areas of life to bring about balance and a sense of wellbeing. When people commit to those changes their wheel of life is 'freed up' - they no longer feel stuck in a rut but energised, positive about each day and all the opportunities it brings. Life is for living, enjoy it! |
